I was born in the mining town of Butte, Montana and am the descendent of Irish and German immigrants. I learned the importance of family and serving others early on. I worry more than I should, thrive on quiet introverted moments, and am slowly becoming the food pusher my grandma encouraged me to be.
I was a small-town girl…
Now, I’m mom to three amazing children, a military wife, an elementary teacher, and a writer of multiple projects that will never be perfect. I’m an avid reader and dog mom to quite possibly the naughtiest but most lovable canines west of the Rocky Mountains. I love coffee, chocolate, long walks and addictive podcasts. If given the choice between water and the mountains, mountains will win every time.

The things you never wanted to know…
- The person I would love to meet, living or dead, is Anne Frank. Her diary was the first book to make me cry and she’s been my hero ever since.
- I’m a sucker for sports’ movies and will watch them whenever they’re on. My favorite is The Sandlot.
- I’ve run two marathons, and aside from the experience and sense of pride, hated almost every bloody minute of them.
- I occasionally jam out to Air Supply or Chicago in my car, although I’m not sure jam out is an accurate description.
- I had an imaginary friend when I was a toddler. I named her Cynthia Marguarite, proving that I’ve always been an overachiever.
